The "peaceful pack" combined with "harder peaceful" would be one of my favourite mod-pack combinations, because I don't really see the need for hostile mobs at night, and certainly don't like the fantasy mobs.

More like a trainer, or some of the mods that extend essentially make a new playing mode. My point is, and I've not tried it, if NODUS only works locally, then it's really no hack at all. or you can add silly mods like Equivalent Exchange and turn any block into any other for, what may as well be, any other. If you know someone who wants to play by similar rules you can make a small server (multiplayer client even) and set the rules that way. If you play alone you can follow any rules you like. Well, yea, I don't see the point in playing with others if you don't want to follow their rules. (= epic fail) They have enough trouble with "New Folder" and "new folder" in the same directory. I suspect they never did this because it's not uncommon for Unix systems to keep a public version of the same folder (directory) in the same location, and ".settings" (with hidden settings) and "settings" (with public settings) would then be merged when transferred from Unix to NT. really Windows should trim the "." from the start of the file name, and apply the +H attribute, in order to preserve all information while keeping within it's (weird ass) conventions. XD) The convention for files and folders beginning with a "." comes from Unix, and in all Posix systems, this is how a "hidden" file is represented.

(writing a program, or using a tool which isn't certified as fit for use on Windows by Microsoft. Obviously, you can do it, because of the ".minecraft" folder, but it breaks Windows file naming convention and usually takes a little trickery. try renaming a folder to ".something" and see what Windows says.ĭid it give you the finger? Strange, it did that to me too.

Strictly speaking, no file or folder is allowed to begin with a full stop / period "." character. Right click the NodusUpdate file you just dragged in, click rename, and then rename it to minecraft. Locate the file you downloaded (Nodus 1.4.5), it is named NodusUpdate.jar, drag it into the bin folder, where you just deleted the minecraft file. There should be a file named minecraft, with a java icon, delete it. The first folder you see should be named. Click start, and in your search bar input %AppData%, then hit enter.

Download Nodus for Minecraft 1.4.5 by clicking here. If you want a real tutorial for Nodus (Which I have actually written myself), it'd go something like this. Therefore, this so called tutorial is outdated, and within 30 minutes of it's posting. The latest version of Nodus is 1.4.5, and you can find the thread for it here, or get the download here. Also the folder is called 'Roaming', and then inside you don't navigate to 'bin', you navigate to '.minecraft', and then 'bin'.ģ. You don't even have to open run, simply input %AppData% into the Search Bar and hit enter. You can't simply place the NodusUpdate.jar into /.minecraft/bin, you have to rename it to 'minecraft'.
